 Cecilia has been drawing since before she can remember. Her very patient parents had to put up with lots of drawings on the walls and she always managed to find new places to hide them (Tip: drawing on the wall next to your door so when your parents open the door it covers the drawings always works).
Although she has always loved drawing, she had decided at some point she was going to study Biology, or History, or Art History, or some area of science... Her indecision was mainly due to other people's insistence on her studying Graphic Design or something art related and her unwillingness to comply. In the end she decided that she loved drawing too much to be in a career that would not involve art, so she decided to study Graphic Design after all. While studying for her career, she discovered her passion for illustration, from commercial illustration to children's books illustration.
After graduating from the university, she met the love of her life and moved to Ventura, California, where she married him. Being the wonderful and supportive person he is, her husband is the reason why Cecilia is finally following her dream of being an Illustrator of both children's books and fantasy.
